Warwick City Park is a peninsula in the Buttonwoods section of the city that is bordered by Brush Neck Cove and Buttonwoods Cove. The park has ballfields, a beach, a dog park, and also a combination bicycle/walking loop path that follows the the edge of the coves and around the perimeter of the park. Starting at a parking lot immediately left of the park entrance I followed the paved path past a maintenance building until I came to the path with the white stripe. I followed this one way path to the left and remained on it until I got to the area near the beach. Along the way I came across a couple of swans that were nesting and plenty of squirrels and chipmunks. This section of path was fairly heavily wooded. I then took a short detour to the beach that overlooks Greenwich Bay and parts of Narragansett Bay. I then made my way back to the walking path passing and around the ballfields before going into another stretch of woods before ending at the point where the path started.
