RIVERS
Rhode Island not only has miles of shoreline along the ocean and Narragansett Bay, but there are several rivers, brooks, and streams that are accessible via hiking trails.
The Blackstone River is the largest and widest of the rivers as it flows from Central Massachusetts into Northern Rhode Island.
The Ten Mile River is mostly in nearby Massachusetts before flowing through Pawtucket and East Providence.
The Woonasquatucket River winds from Smithfield into Downtown Providence.
The Pawtuxet River traverses through the middle of the State.
And lastly the Pawcatuck and Wood Rivers flow through the southwestern portion of Rhode Island.
